Insect Gate

Insect GateHotels

A guest should never see a glue board.

An unmarked white unit under the bed. Grey or white in the bathroom for silverfish. Black in the kitchen for German cockroaches. One gateway on the roof, and counts on the night manager's report rather than in a housekeeper's photograph.

White Insect Gate for hotel rooms

The risk is the review, not the insect.

Every property gets bed bugs eventually. What separates a quiet incident from a public one is how early the property knows, and whether a guest saw anything on the floor.

Reputation

A glue board under a bed is a photograph waiting to be taken. An unmarked white unit is a fixture. The count goes to the night report, not to a review site.

Brand standards

One placement rule per room type, one console per property, one report format across the group. Monitoring becomes a standard rather than a contractor's habit.

Audit evidence

Timestamped counts per room, exportable as CSV. When an inspector or an insurer asks how you know, the file already exists.

Sleeping rooms

Bed bug line. One per bed is the realistic starting point. High-turnover and connecting rooms first if the budget is staged. Housekeeping never has to lift it.

Bathrooms and linen

Silverfish eat paste and paper. A plain white unit on the skirting is a quieter object than a card behind the bin, and it carries no markings a guest could read.

Kitchen and staff areas

German cockroach line. The guest never sees it. When an inspector asks how you know, the console shows a year of counts.

After an incident

Leave the unit in the treated room. A run of zero counts is the result you want. A count on night three is a callback, not a surprise at the next inspection.

The 90-day pilot

10 units, one gateway, 90 days. Enough to cover the rooms that already cost you, and long enough to trust the counts.

  • A first-site walk and a placement plan you can repeat
  • Commissioning: every unit named for its room and gate-checked
  • Console access for your team and a read-only login for the client
  • Glue boards kept alongside for the whole pilot, so nothing is taken on trust
  • A review at the end with the counts, the exceptions and a recommendation
