Insect Gate

Insect GatePlacement

On the path. Flush. Named for the room.

Placement decides how much a monitoring programme sees. Four rules cover most sites.

1

Place it where they walk

Wall and floor junctions, furniture legs, equipment plinths, stack ends. The housing must sit flush so nothing crawls under it. Do not hang it.

2

Commission before you leave

Open the app, name the unit for its room or bay, set the species line, and join the site network. A count should always point to a place.

3

One gateway, then a walk with the phone

Place the LoRaWAN gateway high and central. Walk the far rooms. If a unit cannot be heard, add a gateway or accept Bluetooth-only for that pocket.

4

Leave it in place for the year

Do not open the well to check the lure; the console tracks its health. Swap the cartridge when prompted. If counts look wrong, read the unit over Bluetooth before assuming an infestation.

Starting density

Density is a budget and a biology. We walk a first site with you and adjust from there.

Bed bugOne per sleeping place, plus luggage benches in high-turnover rooms
Stored productTight on intake, packing and returns. Wider in quiet racking. Follow the wall.
CockroachEvery warm machine, then a kitchen grid. Multi-family: the reported flat and its neighbours.
SilverfishBathrooms and stores in hotels. Stack ends and plant rooms in collections.
