Scent. Corner. Count. Phone.
Four steps, none of which need you to do anything but look at your phone once in a while.
The oval is the lure well. The slots on each side are the gates. Nothing is printed on it.
It smells like somewhere they want to be
Each box is made for one insect. The cartridge in the lid releases the scent for twelve months. Then you drop in a new one and keep the box.
They walk in at a corner
The box sits flat on the floor, so they cannot crawl under it. They take a corner, the way they take a crack in the skirting.
A light beam counts them
Across each corner is a tiny beam. When an insect breaks it, that is one. Four corners, so it does not matter which way they come from.
You look in the morning
Stand in the room and open the app. Zero means the room is quiet. A rise overnight means it is time to act.
It counts them. It does not kill them.
If the number is not zero you still need a treatment: a professional, heat, whatever you choose. The box is how you know a room has started, and later how you know it has gone quiet again.
That is the point of a count rather than a trap. You never have to lift the box or guess whether the treatment worked.
